HAPPIMALE Psychosocial Screen

Free for membersFrom: Four Horsemen of Male Pelvic Pain

The 9-domain male-specific psychosocial screen: History of trauma, Attitude, Perception, Partner, Intimacy, Mood, Anxiety, Lifestyle, Environment. Two open-ended questions per domain, scored to a Low, Moderate, or High risk tier. Use it to surface the psychosocial drivers behind male pelvic pain, low mood or anxiety, intimacy or relationship strain, poor exercise adherence, or stalled progress, and to decide whether to support the patient in clinic or refer out.

When and how to use

Reach for this screen when a male pelvic-health case carries psychosocial red flags: low mood, anxiety, a history of trauma or abuse, relationship or intimacy strain, poor exercise adherence, or visible discouragement between sessions. Ask the two open-ended questions in each of the nine domains, score adaptive (0) or maladaptive (1), and read the total against the risk tiers (0-3 Low, 4-6 Moderate, 7-9 High) to decide whether to support the patient yourself or refer to a clinician with psychosocial training. It pairs with the Four Horsemen load-response classification and the targeted psychosocial support pillar of L-U-T-S. Bring a tough profile back to the Tribe to think it through with colleagues.
